Fleet & destinations

KLM has a fleet consisting of two types of Boeing 777’s. The 777-200ER has a passenger capacity of 320 passengers. The -300ER can house over 400 passengers. The majority of KLM’s long haul destinations is covered by the 777. Especially in Asia and South America, the 777 is well represented. With the 747 being phased out and the 787 being introduced, some destinations will see a change in equipment.

In June 2016, KLM introduced one of their 777-300ER’s in their so-called ‘Orange Pride’ livery. The livery was initiated after a social media campaign on Kingsday in 2015. The trusted KLM blue is partially combined with orange. In the transition between the colours, the Dutch flag is used. This puts the emphasis on KLM’s Dutch roots and the orange feeling of the Netherlands.
